| I was there tonight, much to the surprise of many people as I've been known for a long time not to be a Robbie fan. I went to see if I could feel any differently about a man I had disliked very strongly for years. Over the last couple of years I'd started to feel less vitriolic towards him and several interviews I'd read recently had helped too.
The gig at The Roundhouse was very cathartic for me. I'd never seen him live before and I will admit he was very entertaining and I enjoyed it a lot. He did and said some things that helped me to get past the bad feelings I had towards him and I finally feel I can put the past to rest and feel genuinely happy that he has mended all the bridges with the lads, and especially Gary. I actually - and I never thought I'd ever say this - wouldn't mind if he did a one off performance or gig with the lads now.
If that isn't a result I don't know what is. ;-)

| Absolutely bloody amazing. Loved every minute of it (well there was this one new song I could have lived without! - so almost every minute. lol) The queues were nasty and it was bloody freezing and I had to wear my heels so that I could see cos I'm so short and my feet were actualy killing me, but it was all worth it! The venue was so small, we were about 8 rows back, he was soooo close! His vocals were great - sounded much better live than on the TV, and he was looking gooood. And the stuff he said about Gary was just too sweet, made me cry. And about Ayda as well, the man is definitely loved u and it's adorable! *happy happy happy* | |

| I enjoyed the concert at the radio, and there are a few songs of the new album I just love....so I can´t wait now for the album aswell. And good to see that he changed the last bits of No Regret.
@Dawn&Jaidi: Thanks for the first bits of report, glad you two had a fab time, a bit shocked how good he must have been if Jaidi doesn´t mind a one off concert maybe LOL

| Thanks for the report ladies!!
I didn't hear it live yesterday, i'll see how long it's available on BBC's site and find a suitable time for me. I started to feel less hostile about him from 1 or 2 interviews before.... and all the talk that he and the lads, esp. Gaz are meeting more often and becoming friends, I usually feel quite defensive for Gary, not wanting anyone to hurt him unnecessarily... I'm happy for him that he found love with Ayda, I think it's what he needs.
surprisingly I haven't heard the single Bodies yet!! I'll try to give him a shot and listen to the new songs

| I sat in the cinema to watch the gig, but unfortunately there were technical problems and they didnt get it right, so they had to sent about 6 theatres full of people home... very disappointing. I listened to the show on the radio then and I liked it - there are some great songs on the new album and I hope it will score well in the charts.
By chance I sat next to the German press contact from EMI in the cinema and we had a nice chat about the X-factor performance, the new record and other possible projects ... its a small small world ;-)
Thanks for your reports Dawn and Jaidi - I am glad you had a fab time, I just saw a couple of pics from the venue and the EMI lady told me that it was quite small, so I am sure it was absolutely amazing!!!!

| Listened to it yesterday evening (but was feeling too crap to stay up for the TV highlights :o() - thought Bodies sounded fantastic, and he was generally on good form. But the rest of the new stuff left me pretty cold, which wasn't how I wanted to feel about it.
Got the goosebumps with the cover of Video Killed the Radio Star, though... :o)
Edit - and yes, there were 'extended highlights' on TV at 11.20 last night: I think they showed about 45 minutes of it, but I don't know which bits it included.

It´s just pretty disgusting and frustrating at the moment, cause as a non-UK fan I cannot access the BBC website clips and they seem to have being deleting the ones on youtube for copyright issues....It totally buggers me!

| I'm still on a high from this. It was all very bizzarre going to the gig, then crossing London to get back to our hotel to watch the same gig on telly. LOL! Amazing is one word that keeps popping up. He was on top form and it was almost like he'd never been awy. He was Robbie at his best, cracking jokes and cheeky comments, making us laugh and cry in equal measure and singing his heart out. He could have been performing to a full Wembley Stadium last night for all he cared. He put his all into the show and it was absolutely amazing. The setlist was... Bodies Morning Sun Come Undone Blasphemy Starstruck Feel I Will Talk & Hollywood Will Listen Supreme Deceptacon No Regrets Won't Do That You Know Me Angels Millennium Video Killed The Radio Star. The songs in bold weren't shown on the highlights, I'm not sure about the radio. Also, in the highlights they swapped Millennium and Angels around. (The last 2 songs were in the encore) Rob's words about TT and Gary had most of us near to tears and it was lovely of him to send his thoughts to Gary. No Regrets was fantastic! We also saw Ayda sat in the audience next to Rob's mum. Along with various other celebrities. Ant & Dec were there with their partners. Will Young was there (Looking H.O.T!) and Peaches Geldof. James Corden had us all in stitches. He was singing and dancing away, just like the rest of us. Giving it his all, bless him. Geri Halliwell was there too apparently and we also saw Edith, Fearne and Reggie from Radio one in the audience. I only got 2 pics and they're not very good as they were taken with my phone. I got the whole of Feel on video too which I will upload later. | |
